Poets of the Fall — англоязычная финская рок-группа, записывающаяся на собственном лейбле "Insomniac". Группа образовалась в городе Хельсинки в 2003 году дуэтом старых друзей: вокалиста Марко Сааресто и гитариста Олли Тукиайнена. Позднее к группе присоединился клавишник и продюсер Маркус Каарлонен. Концертный состав группы включает: Яни Снеллмана (бас-гитара), Яску Макинена (гитара) и Яри Сальминена (ударные).
Первыми синглами группы были Late Goodbye и Lift, после чего Poets of the Fall выпустили дебютный альбом Signs of Life, ставший золотым в мае 2005 года и платиновым в апреле 2006. Популярность группе принесло написание музыки для видеоигры Max Payne 2; песня «Late Goodbye» использовалась в титрах и являлась основной темой игры.
Название группы «Poets of the Fall» — «Поэты Упадка», а не «Поэты Осени», как принято считать. Об этом заявил вокалист группы Марко Сааресто в одном из интервью.
