What is reincarnation according to Kabbalah? Why do we feel death, and why do we seemingly go through different life cycles? What is Karma according to Kabbalah? How does nature work? When do we feel reward and punishment? Who feels reality?
Kabbalah does not present reincarnation connected to Karma. And it does not deal exactly or directly with that concept.
Reincarnation is an arcane way of expressing evolution. It means that life has a root, but the way it expresses itself as it evolves, it appears different and again different in repeating cycles, as life upon life, upon life, and so on. In truth, these are inner changes that are represented to us as if they were outer changes.
We demand separation from everything else, and that basic demand of our nature is the root of what we think of as death or complete separation between lives. But it does not exist this way.
Karma is a very specific concept describing how, by doing certain actions, there is a certain counterbalance of actions.
Nature always tries to reach a certain balance and homeostasis. The only thing that actually tries to evolve is the heart of the creature. Everything is the creature, but the heart is felt in you. We look at stones and plants and animals, but where is the place of all this? Where is the beating heart of the cosmos? It is in you!
So there is a kind of balance and homeostasis; nature is always trying to restore balance into the heart. And if we go in a certain direction that is against connection and the ideal fulfillment of the law of nature, then the system naturally pushes us back from that place since that place is not a real place.
This developing force realigns the person back into the correct developmental parameters. And we feel that as reward and punishment, or Karma. But it is the loving heart of that law of nature.
