That is why our organisation goes to any length to get your letter to your sponsored child.
ActionAid has child sponsorship programs in countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The countries we are currently looking for new sponsors in are: Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Rwanda, The Gambia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

You might also be wondering why, as a charity that focuses on the rights of women and girls in the global south, we also sponsor boys. We do this because we believe that we cannot achieve true gender equality without also empowering boys and men.
Our work continues to benefit men and boys living in poverty, and we include boys as children who can be sponsored, so that everyone in the community can benefit. We also recognise that we need to work closely with boys and men to change entrenched views, advance women’s rights and achieve our overall objective of eradicating poverty.

One of the best parts of sponsoring a child with ActionAid is writing letters to your sponsored child.
Our organisation collects your letters and delivers them to very remote locations across Africa, Asia and Latin America - this can take a long time!
Some of the communities we work in are very remote…like Vitoria in Guatemala for example!
When your letter is delivered, ActionAid local staff help children read it and then write you a response.
Children in our programs love to hear from their friends overseas - so write to your sponsored child today!"
