3 reasons why you should AVOID traveling during Golden Week! What it is and why it's called this way

The best time to travel to Japan in my opinion is MAY, but avoid “Golden week” which is at the beginning of the month.
January and February are the coldest months, March and April are super crowded with the cherry blossoms, June and July have the tsuyu rainy season, August and September are the hottest and most humid months, October and November are crowded with the Autumn leaves, and December is also very cold and busy with everyone celebrating the end of the year.
May, in a good way, doesn’t have any big events so the historical sites for example aren't that crowded, and the weather/temperature is neither hot nor cold. However, May does have the series of 3 consecutive holidays called “Golden week” at the beginning of the month, which is when Japanese people tend to take vacations and travel, so you just have to avoid this specific time.
Please keep in mind that this is just for people who want to travel to Japan when it's the least crowded and comfortable in terms of weather/temperature, and every other season has its charms too.
