This is an update to how I fixed my issues with my LG 49" Ultra Widescreen Monitor (LG49WL95C) where it would not let me get the maximum resolution rate of 5120 x 1440. It would only let me go to 3840 x 1080. You don't have to watch the video: Just upgrade to Big Sur (make sure all your apps you use are compatible first!).
