The story of the Ghana Empire's beginning comes from the historical details found in the respected book, 'Tarikh al-Sudan' (History of the Sudan). This book gives us insight into the smart and inventive Soninkay people.
The Soninkay people were the masterminds who laid the foundation stones of what would later glitter as the golden Ghana Empire around the 4th century AD. Despite the shared name, this historical empire has no direct connection to the country of Ghana that we know today.
In this video, we will provide a detailed historical account of the founding, growth and eventual decline of the ancient Ghana Empire. Tales of the Epic west African battle, fought at Kirina between Sumanguru Kante and Sundiata Keita (Lion of Mali, The grand uncle of the famous Mansa Moussa)
