Hey :)
Here I show you how I went about intalling a locking tailgate handle,
from Pop & Lock on my Second Gen Toyota Tacoma.
Model # PL5500
It gave me a little bit of a hard time when trying to install the handle and I ended up unbolting the little metal plate to be able to slide it it.
When I unbolted the metal plate the tensioner spring came off and I had to reinstall it but it all worked out ok and it is working great.
Now I will be able to lock the tailgate, so that I can keep intems inside the bed secured, once I install the bed topper again.
It will also help keep the tailgate more secure and not "grow legs" :)

I have to tell you that I found out that Pop & Lock makes a different version of this handle where you use your ignition key, instead of having to have another key.
I would have purchased that one just to have one key instead of two keys.
