The power seat recline not working on this acura mdx, the seat won't recline and it was stuck in one position. I will diagnose the problem and fix it.

It seemed the driver side power seat had no power. It could be a blown fuse, broken wire, or something else I checked the fuse and the fuse was fine.

I noticed, that the recliner cover was loose so i figuired the problem was lying somehere there. I removed the seat recliner cover and found out that one of the tab was broken and there was no contact between the seat recliner switch and recliner handle. I checked the switches and they were working fine. The outer handles lock on these switches . In this case, the cover was loose that casued the the outer handles separated from the seat switch.

Since there was no contact between the outer handles and the switches, the recliner was not functioning. Then I knew what the problem was.I unplugged the switch board and attached it to the cover where it meets the handles, I also repaired the broken tab on the seat recliner cover so it is no more loose.
