Hello, this is Rob with Intermatic tech support and today I’m going to show you how to program the EJ500 and EJ600 so the lights turn ON at sunset and OFF at a fixed time. We are going to set it for 12:00 a.m. as a demonstration.
Start by opening up the flap with a sharp object or fingernail.
1. Press the MODE button. We are going to use the year as a reference point. When you see YEAR, press the MODE button once.
2. When you see the current time, press the MODE button again.
3. You will now be on the programming screen. It will have all the days along the bottom, or it will just have dashes.
4. Press the DAY button repeatedly until you see SNST; make sure all the days are on the bottom, or the days that you want are selected for when you want the timer to function.
5. Press the NEXT ON/OFF button. This timer has been pre-programmed for 12:00 a.m.
6. Normally, if you have already programmed the timer, you will see SNUP with all of the days along the bottom.
7. We’ll do the same thing all over again. Press the DAY button repeatedly until you go through all of the days. When all the days show up, you will see a time. If you want to adjust that time for a different time, press the M+ button for your minutes, and the HOUR+ button for the hour. (@1:48.) Be careful with the a.m. and p.m. on the left side. You want to be sure you are selecting the correct a.m. or p.m. time.
8. When you are done, press the MODE button once to get to AUTO. Make sure you are on the correct day of the week in case you have a program that requires different days.
9. Close the flap and you are good to go.
