We recently purchased a 1000 watt immersion heater for use in our cargo trailer and tried it with our Jackery Explorer 1000 and Honda eu2200i generator. We were sure the generator would be able to power it without any issue, but we weren't as sure about the Jackery. After all, our Jackery is a 1000 watt power station and using a 1000 watt heater could be a problem.
We purchased our immersion heater off of amazon.com and it was just under $40. When we went on our 4 month cross-country adventure last year, one of the few issues we had was getting hot water. Cupcake would boil water on our Coleman stove every time we wanted to take a shower, so that got old. It would take about 30 minutes to heat enough water to use in our Reliance Shower System (which worked great), so we knew we'd need to find an alternative before hitting the road again. We recently purchased an on-demand hot water system (which we may or may not use - we'll let you know), but it requires a lot of space and propane, and we're limited in our 6x10 cargo trailer conversion. After seeing a video about an immersion heater we decided to get one to try out and we think it might be the way to go.
