Jal Mahar or Water Palace is a unique monument in Jaipur. As the name suggests it is a palace in the middle of Man Sagar lake. The palace is a five storied building with four of the floors submerged under water and the top floor appears to be floating on the lake.
Jal Mahal was built by Rajput rulers in 18th century. It is a beautiful example of confluence of Rajput-Mughal architecture. The beautiful Aravali hills in the background enhances the beauty of the place
