Aug.20 -- Covid-19 cases have worsened across the Asia-Pacific. Sydney and New Zealand are under lockdown and cases in Japan are spiraling out of control. The U.S. is also suffering its own outbreak. Covid-19 deaths there have hit numbers not seen since February as I.C.U.’s overflow in parts of the south. In hospitals in Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Texas, more than 90% of beds in intensive care are being used. Officials say the vast majority of covid patients are unvaccinated.
