My 2008 Jeep JK Unlimited snapped the power steering shaft while crossing the Golden Crack obsticle on the Golden Spike trail in Moab, Utah. I had already done it once and was just crossing back. There must have been a flaw in that shaft to cause this to happen. Needless to say it was a long day to get a new steering gear on its way down from SLC, take the 2 hour ride with others out and then run the trail at night back to install the new one. Glad I was wheeling with friends and not by my self.
