I found a demo of it on the backing tracks CD "Into the spotlight" available from Leo's Den.
When I heard it I loved the military "feel" to it of the drums and horn, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. I loved it.
I'm sorry I know nothing about this piece of music. I assume that Hank or The Shadows must have played it but I can't find any reference to it.
I wonder if anyone can help in this respect?
Anyway, here is and as always I hope you like it.
Dave
p.s. I received this mail from Dave Robinson explaining the origins of the tune. Thanks Dave.
Dave Robinson here from Sheffield band PAST MASTERS.
I wrote 'Buganvilla' in 2000 whilst tuning up a Burns Marquee guitar that I had just bought. The title refers to the the ship "Buganvilla' that was used as a ferry between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. It was never recorded by The Shadows - wish it was . . . This is an arrangement and recording that we (Warren Bennett & myself) did for former Shadows bassist Brian Locking which he recorded on his CD 'Returning Home".
Hope this clears up your query.
