I decided to head out on a rainy Tuesday afternoon to chase the H74. I thought everything was going well: An SD40-2 with a PERFECTLY tuned P5, I even spotted one of the mesh covers blow off at Railroad Avenue! That was until I caught him rolling downhill through East Bangor. The railroad crossing there is the busy entrance to where dump trucks unload dirt into a quarry hole. The traffic can be pretty heavy at times. *Mind you this traffic is ALL trucks* As the H74 approaches the crossing, blowing the horn WAY before he gets there, a dump tries to beat the train across the tracks, and is almost nailed by the SD40. By the way the engineer laid on the horn afterward, I could tell he was pretty pissed.
- HERE COMES THE EXPLANATION -
I could understand how the WCT driver (the one who got hit weeks ago) would have a blind spot towards the direction the train was traveling - the library is in the way along with the bend in the track. But this particular crossing is COMPLETELY OUT IN THE OPEN!!! That is what make me believe this trucker saw the train and tried to cross ON PURPOSE. For what? 3 LIGHT ENGINES THAT WOULD'VE TAKEN 30 SECONDS TO PASS!! Seriously, some of these idiots need there CDLs taken before they kill the innocent train crew and bystanders...
- Look, Listen, Live, don't be stupid. Stay SAFE, or you'll end up like this guy:

End Of Rant...
