The death toll has risen to 290 people while more than 500 have been injured after a coordinated wave of bombings struck Sri Lanka. Eight British citizens and two Australians were among those killed when attackers targeted churches in the worst violence the country has seen since the end of its bloody civil war in 2009. Sri Lankan authorities have arrested 24 people in relation to the attacks and labeled those responsible 'religious extremists'
