Bhajan Lal Sharma, a first-time MLA, has been announced as the new Chief Minister of Rajasthan by the BJP on December 12. Representing the Sanganer assembly constituency, Sharma has previously served as the state general secretary for the party four times. In the recently concluded 2023 state polls, he secured victory in Sanganer, defeating Congress's Pushpendra Bhardwaj with a significant margin. Sharma, a 56-year-old post-graduate, declared total assets of Rs 1.5 crore, with Rs 43.6 lakh in moveable assets and Rs 1 crore in immovable assets, alongside a total declared income of Rs 11.1 lakh.
