Car Friday or Kar Freitag is always a highlight event of the year at the Nürburgring. It unofficially marks the start of the "tuning" or car scene season. Last year it was its absence that was was noticed in comparison with the previous years. This time it was the big question if it would be allowed to happen in the first place. A unique situation occured: the Nürburgring remained open, but the authorities requested the people to stay home and only come if they would drive the track. Surprisingly enough, it actually happened! We may not have had the crazy traffic jams of cars from last years... but neither did we have any hoons and ricers that would ruin it for others. Am I getting old?
