The Mekong Region is currently facing multiple environmental challenges that, compounded by the effects of climate change, are undermining the sustainable development of the region and further delaying nations from achieving SDG targets. To encourage discussions on these issues, the Institute for Human Studies and SUMERNET Young Professionals will co-organize a seminar on the topic "Water Security in the Mekong Region: Looking to the Future". The main objectives of this seminar are to: (1) exchange successes and challenges on issues relating to water security and sustainable development; and (2) explore the role of young professionals in addressing these issues.
