*REALISTIC* Morning Routine As A SELF-EMPLOYED ARTIST | Building HEALTHY HABITS That Will Change Your Life
Mornings are routinely and simultaneously my favourite and least favourite time of the day. I’m not traditionally a morning person but there is something magic in that fresh dewy quiet of a new day before the rest of the world in my time zone has risen. But it’s also the time when I seem to generate my most anxiety, I think it’s a build-up of energy, the potential of all I want to achieve that day and the daunting nature of remembering my to-do list even though I wrote it all down the night before. As someone who is self-employed and in a creative field my weeks never look the same and consistency and balance are often something I crave. Back in January, I decided to embrace the inconsistency of my work life, by building structure and healthy habits in the parts of my life I could control. The first area I decided needed work was my morning routine. Good Morning and welcome to Healthy Habits that are helping to change my life.

Claire Luxton is a British contemporary multi-disciplinary artist working with photography, immersive installation and poetry.
She works from her rural studio based in East Sussex, and the nature she is surrounded by is always reflected in her work. After receiving a BFA from Goldsmiths University of London, Luxton’s practice developed a strongly recognisable ascetic, which quickly gained her recognition. Her dynamic work explores the delicate equilibrium between humans and nature, the ominous undercurrents oscillate between constructed femininity and alluring vulnerability, seducing the viewer with colour, intrigue, joy and uncertainty.
Collected internationally the artist’s work has been shown from London to Singapore, including exhibits at The London Art Fair and Art Basel.
Luxton’s most notable commissions include public art projects for The Crown Estate, Westminster and Westfield Forum des Halles and brand collaborations with Hendricks, Wedgwood, InterContinental and L’Occitane. Luxton is represented by MTArt Agency.
