The Discovery Sport is a 2017 2.2 diesel. It has a Gen 5 Haldex AWD system which comes standard with this vehicle. Tyres are road biased.
The Evoque is an older 2011 model 2.0 Si4 petrol. It's the Prestige model, which stands a bit higher than the more common Dynamic (later known with different nomenclature HSE, SE etc) It has the older Gen 4 Haldex AWD system which was standard until 2014. (Post 2014 models now come with a system called Active Driveline). Tyres are Cooper Zeon all terrains.
The question is this: Is the older Gen 4 Haldex system on the Evoque different to the Gen 5 offroad? Or is it all down to the tyres?
