Crowds turned out to see the iconic Knife Angel statue take up its position on display in Newtown. The official unveiling of the angel was watched by hundreds of people. Dignitaries and members of the public watched as the 27-foot-tall symbol of the fight against knife crime – which was made in Oswestry from 100,000 confiscated and handed-in blades – was lowered into position outside the Oriel Gallery.
