I made a neat little bridge using boats in Minecraft Beta 1.7.3, which is a much older incomplete version of the game. I and a lot of people like playing this version however because of it's simplicity (I still play new Minecraft)
Anyways, I made this bridge by placing boats on top of blocks one block apart, and you move by getting in one boat after the other.
