This is a quick stabilization test between the Panasonic GH5, Panasonic S5 and Sony A7 III with 50mm lenses.
For the 24mm test follow the link : [ Ссылка ]
Lenses used :
Lumix 25mm f/1.7 (GH5)
Panasonic 50mm Pro f/1.4 (S5)
50mm Sony planar FE f/1.4 (A7III).
02:17 Side by side comparison
Note :
-Keep in mind the IBIS is tested with 50mm lenses, way more difficult to stabilize than 20 or 24mm.
-All the footage is recorded at 25fps because the Sony A7III can't do 4k 30fps without crop.
-This is not a focus, color, bokeh or dynamic range test. AF-S was used for GH5 and S5.
-These lenses have no built in stabilization.
My impressions :
-The GH5 is almost suitable when walking with wide lenses (even more with dual IS lenses), some wobbles can appear with lenses wider than 12mm though.
-The S5 is effective with slow movements but not when walking.
-The A7 III is effective only with static shots, even slow movements can make the footage jittery.
