A feisty hummingbird is going to need a lot of lucky breaks. She or he has a deformed beak. The bottom beak sticks out at an angle and its tongue constantly stuck out. It showed up for two straight days guarding one of the feeders out back. After two days it disappeared. From what I read elsewhere, this may be an example of long-billed syndrome.
