An idea that has been thrown around here for a long time, Dig a trench at a cellar hole to see what is way down in the dirt that our metal detectors cannot find. We took the day at the Gurus private cellar hole to do some treasure hunting and dig out a trench between the Cellar and the well to see what we could find. To go beyond what the metal detectors could do was the big thought. Digging down about 18 inches roughly was the goal and removing everything we could find. We sifted the dirt and went through it with our fingers searching for history in the dirt.
Relics from the 1700s & 1800s is what we are after and we pulled every bit of shards, nails, glass we came across but you won't believe what we found besides al that. Boom ! a silver spoon ! a massive crotal Bell ,buttons and more. We dug a huge pit then used the Garrett ATPRO Garrett ATGOLD And whites detectors to check the dirt as we turned it.
