Linhof /Schneider Kreuznach make a great accessory for their 4x5 cameras. I own one of their older models from a Technika V, but they also used this finder on the IV, but have since replaced it. The viewfinder slides off and on the top of the camera. Since the back of the Technika rotates from horizontal to vertical so does the finder. To compose for 4x5 format photos you use the entire view-finder. The finder also includes a square in the middle for when a medium format rollfilm back is attached. The finder can be adjusted for parallax caused by subject distance by turning a dial and setting it to the appropriate distance. The handiest feature I have found is the zoom function cover focal lengths from 90-360mm lenses. Using this function I can compose a photo and choose a lens before ever setting up the cumbersome camera. This saves lots of time. For this reason it is a handy accessory for non-Linhof cameras as well.
