Alfonso Castillo Hernandez took the Art Talk stage to share the secrets of this expressive art form, steeped in tradition.
The Castillo family come from a long line of Puebla potters. They began making utilitarian pieces for the everyday needs of the community. After many years of experimenting with various processes, they have perfected their current art which consists of elaborate clay skeletons and vases with colorful designs and elements from nature.
