A video showing the bloody aftermath of the shooting during which the alleged leader of the Sexy Boys gang, Jerome "Donkie" Booysen, was wounded has surfaced on social media.
The shooting, yet another apparent attempt on his life, happened at a Spur restaurant in a Kuils River shopping mall in Cape Town.
Booysen was wounded in the left arm. It was the sixth attempt on his life in just over a year.
The apparent gunman believed to have wounded Booysen on Wednesday was killed when the firearm he was using jammed, according to sources.
