Hari Om!
Bhagavan informs Arjuna about sattvic, rajasic and tamasic charity.
Swami Aparajitanandaji stresses upon the importance of sattvic charity as being an instrument for our spiritual evolution. Explaining each characteristic of each type of charity in detail, Swamiji examines the reasons, fears, purpose, intentions, attitudes and considerations behind each act of charity along with the manner in which a person will or will not do charity depending on the moods of his mind and his shraddha. He also explains the implications of not giving charity.
Mentioning charity to be the means of purifying wealth, Swamiji lists down the benefits of charity. He also shares the technique some families adopt to preserve wealth generation after generation.
If one has still any doubts left, Swamiji gives logical, psychological, economic and scriptural grounds for giving and lays down the rules of ideal (sattvic) charity over the other two types with varied examples.
