This video explains the principle ofTunable Resistive Pulse Sensing (TRPS), a single-particle analytical technique used to measure the physical characteristics of nano-sized particles. The technique adapts the principle of resistive pulse sensing, which monitors current flow through a tunable nanopore. As particles pass through the nanopore, the resulting temporary reduction in current is used to obtain measures of particle size and concentration, or particle size and zeta potential – parameters that are central to many industries involving nanoparticles, including the development of lipid nanoparticles and other nanomedicines, and extracellular vesicles.
