Kemper:
The Inspired by Eddie Performance pack for Kemper seeks to recreate tones inspired by Eddie Van Halen. Built on profiles from an early 70s Marshall SuperLead and an SLO We’ve dialed in effects reminiscent of some popular Van Halen tunes including Eruption, Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love, Hot for Teacher, Judgement Day, Jump, Pretty Woman, Unchained and Beat It. We also added a rig called “Home Base” to the “Eruption" Performance, this is a general “eddie-like” setup that we really enjoy for some inspired by tones without referencing any song in particular.

Helix/ HX Stomp:
The Inspired by Eddie Helix/HX Stomp Preset Pack with Tone Matched IR seeks to recreate tones inspired by Eddie Van Halen. Built on a Tone Matched Modified Impulse response, we used the 5150 Model in the and created and IR matched to a Marshall SuperLead. Adding some more mids in the Amp block reminds me more of the 5150 sound and a little less is reminiscent of the earlier Plexi Tone. Stock it feels in the middle. We’ve dialed in effects reminiscent of some popular Van Halen tunes including Eruption, Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love, Hot for Teacher, Judgement Day, Jump, Pretty Woman, Unchained and Beat It. We also added a snapshot called “Home Base” to the “Eruption" Preset, this is a general “eddie-like” setup that we really enjoy for some inspired by tones without referencing any song in particular.

While we created these tones referencing the isolated guitar tracks (when available) we do not guarantee they sound exactly like any particular record or live performance. Differences in pickups and guitars and your fingers all play a part in tone and sometimes adjustments need to be made. With that said, these tones and presets should immediately remind you of these artists/songs and performances when played with roughly similar gear.
