A British think-tank has pointed out a very common problem in Russia’s recently deployed Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles. The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) claims that while the Zircon missile is a powerful weapon, it also has major limitations. On Jan. 4 Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu attended a ceremony to deploy the new missile. Russian frigate Admiral Gorshkov sailed to the Atlantic Ocean, loaded with Tsirkon (Zircon) and Kalibr missiles. The deployment of Russia’s new hypersonic cruise missiles drew a good deal of international attention. However, analysts have raised some red flags regarding Russia's latest flagship missile.
