HRV stands for "Heat Recovery Ventilator". I have one in my air-tight house to bring in fresh air. This unit recaptures 85% of the energy from the exhaust air. This is great for saving energy.
I typically run my unit 24/7 on "low" setting. This uses 42 watts and moves about 40 CFM on a regular basis.
When you build extremely air-tight you need to include some form of active ventilation system.
This exact model is no longer available. If I was building today I would buy this Panasonic ERV: [ Ссылка ]
It is similarly built for small tight houses, but is probably higher quality.
