It is the second major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, a sequel to 2007's Assassin's Creed. The game again centers on Desmond Miles after he escapes from Abstergo Industries with the aid of employee Lucy Stillman. In an attempt to foil Abstergo and the modern-day Templars, Desmond uses the latest Animus to restore the genetic memory of his ancestor, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who becomes an Assassin after his family is betrayed, in Italy during the Renaissance. The game reveals the depictions of major Italian regions and cities through a mixture of action, stealth, and economic gameplay.
