Sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping is an alternative to complete lymphadenectomy in the surgical staging of gynaecological cancer.
Its usage aims to reduce the extent of surgery and the associated complications of systematic inguinofemoral, pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy.
