Radio talk show host Leonard Lopate moderates a panel discussion about political humor. Panelists include comedian Kate Clinton; Gale Collins, editor and op-ed columnist for The New York Times; Canadian columnist and illustrator Bruce McCall; and Calvin Trillin, journalist and columnist for The New Yorker. Lopate introduces the panel and argues that “politicians are becoming so ridiculous [that] it's becoming more difficult for political humorists to compete.” The panelists discuss Al Gore, former vice president Dan Quayle, the upcoming presidential election, Canadian politics, and what it’s like to speak with or interview politicians. The discussion is followed by questions from the audience.Your support helps us continue creating online content for our community. Donate now: [ Ссылка ]
