Fix And Lubricate A Sticky Lock And Key - This applies to all locks but especially to motorcycle ignitions, gas caps, saddlebags and trunks. The low security locks like saddlebags and trunks especially need to be kept clean and lubricated so you don't bend or break your keys. Simply lubricating the lock mechanism isn't always enough, there are several other parts that need regular cleaning. It's absolutely critical you only use a dry lube not WD40, white lithium grease, penetrating fluid, silicone spray, chain lube or anything else that will attract dirt in to your locks.
