Something for the Weekend is an interactive Disability Arts show produced by Together! 2012 CIC and aimed at everyone whose access to the outside world is limited by Covid-19, health conditions or caring commitments. The show is hosted by Disabled artists Ju Gosling aka ju90 and Julie Newman from East London and Robin Surgeoner and Tracy Surgeoner from the West Midlands, with regular presenter Sterre Ploeger and random appearances by anarchic cats and assistance dogs. All of the hosts and presenters are additionally vulnerable to Covid-19.
Something for the Weekend includes information about how to join in from home with Together! 2012 CIC’s activities, art, poetry, music, guests, photos and videos from viewers, and much more. This week's episode includes an interview with emerging artist Jessica Tania Bishop. The show goes out live on YouTube on Fridays from 3-4pm - watch on [ Ссылка ] with live captions streamed beneath. The recording is posted on YouTube and the website by 7pm with captions and enhanced audio, but please note that the captions may take up to an hour to process.
*When we use the term 'Disabled people' we include people with long-term health conditions including mental health conditions, people with sensory or mobility impairments, people with learning difficulties, people who are neuro-diverse, and anyone else who self-identifies as Disabled using the Social Model of Disability definition.
