Neck pickups often sound too thick, too muddy, and due to stronger string action at neck position pickup has to be mounted with more distance to the strings. Even expensive handmade neck pickups come to a limit when putting them closer to the strings.
But also taste of musicians is different, so I decided to make a small tool to offer the option of an easy adjustable mini bass cut, once set to taste it can remain in the wiring compartment, and it is usable with all sorts of guitars.
Buy it, solder it to your guitar at desired pickup and position, adjust it to your taste, (can also be adjusted on pickguard guitars) close the cover or the pickguard, that´s it.
For all sorts of pickups, and it always will make sence if some of your pickups got too much bass, or you want to go closer to the strings.
In this video it´s a set of AGL/Häussel Wild Honey pickups, neck pickup is set really close to the strings. Listen to the video, you´ll hear the difference.
Infos about the AGL mini bass cut will follow on my homepage, or send me a message!
Cheers, Acy!
