[Amtrak / Metro-North]: Here's a rare catch of a combined Amtrak Empire Service train, rerouted via Metro-North Park Avenue Main Line, heading northbound to Albany. Service operates normally via the Empire Connection to New York Penn, but due to a derailment with an Acela Express and side swipe of an NJT Train during the AM of March 24, 2017, there we detours, train cancellation and delays in and out of NY Penn.

==Notes==
-This Train included Amtrak Empire # 244 from a previous trip and another Empire Train. Service went down to GCT and looped. Amtrak 234/236 were also sent down, but turned at Mott Haven Wye and went back to the Empire Corridor (Not clipped)
-Amtrak ceased service in and out of Grand Central Terminal in 1991 with the opening of the Empire Connection, which rerouted service to NY Penn. Although at times trains have been spotted via Metro-North to GCT during rare occasions.
