This is our 2 year old GulMohar tree which was initially planted in a terrace garden pot and kept well cared for a few months - then it was planted outside where it grew 15+ Fts in height so far and have started flowering already.

We have bought several GulMohar trees from a nearby nursery and took care of them for over 5+ months. Normally we target the month of November for buying these plants and grow them in pots till March or April. Then during the summer months of April and May, we start planting them outside. At this stage the plants in the pots are stronger, they have a good root system and their stem is fairly hard - so they survive in the outdoors. As it is the month of summer, we water it heavily - almost daily.

This way, once the rains hits in the next few months - mostly around June or July, the plants in the outdoors have already established their roots and are ready to take the full benefit of the rainy season and grow into huge trees in just one rainy season.
