Gibson's ES125 was born in 1941 as the successor to the ES100, and had a 14-inch body until production was temporarily stopped in 1943. The model then returned in 1946 with a larger body like the ES150, and also had a deep back and sides as opposed to the flatter 'T' model that was later added to the range.

The guitar is equipped with a body and top made of laminated maple, plus a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The top is finished in sunburst and the body has a cream-colored binding on both the front and back, as well as the typical tortoise pickguard. The guitar is equipped with a single P90 in the neck position, and the pickup is surprisingly versatile thanks to the volume and tone knob.

This 1958 Gibson ES125 is truly a beautiful specimen and has been very well maintained. The original lacquer layer has been beautifully polished, but the weather checking is still present in full glory to give the guitar that characteristic vintage look. There is a discoloration in the lacquer at the bottom of the rear of the body, probably due to exposure to a heat source. The guitar has also undergone a refret and the tuners and the tailpiece have been replaced.

The guitar is supplied with TFOA passport in a softshell case.
