Description: The Mills Brothers, who carved a warm and enduring spot in the heart of the world's music-lovers more than fifty years ago, sing a superb selection of their all-time hits in this outstanding recording. Included are "Paper Doll," "Glow Worm," "Cab Driver," "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You," and - the song that started it all back in 1929 - their classic version of "Tiger Rag."
The Mills Brothers' membership changed over the years...(when John, Jr. died in 1936, his father John, Sr. stepped in to replace him and sang with the group till his own death in 1984), but their musicianship and dedication never varied. It remained the best, the finest, the most complete. Artie Shaw once said of the Mills Brothers that they sing every song as if they were singing it for the first time, in a totally individual style that has made them the nation's favorites for more than half a century.
This compact disc features the Mills Brothers at their best, in a recording that can only become more precious in years to come.
