First, you need to know that this is only available on a Facebook Business page. So, you can’t schedule posts in your Facebook profile.
And if you have a Business page already, just go direct to the page. And for this one, I’m going to use my own page.
So we are going to the content planner straight away. Okay. Awesome.
Now, once you are here, just click on ‘Create’. You now have a ‘New Post’ pop-up.
And, in placements, you have your Facebook page and your Instagram account. That’s if your Instagram account is linked to your Facebook.
Since I’m going to post an image, it is going to be an image post so I still want it to go to Instagram as well.
This is where you put your text and this is where you add your media, adding the image. Okay! So if we were to add an image here, let’s just do this. Let’s click on ‘Add Image’ and then, I have a couple of Motivational quotes here, so I just pick one. Let’s take that, open it up. Once it’s uploaded, click on Add. Okay.
Now there is your image, you can add text here. What you add here will go both on Facebook and Instagram. But you also have the option to give the image different captions, different texts.
So, you can have a specific text go with Facebook. I think we can use these hashtags, so, you can have that. And then you can have a separate text "Simplicity is a major factor". Okay.
So, yes, as you can see here, your text is customized for each platform. Type here to use the same text for both platforms instead. So if you want to use the same content, the same text, you put it here.
But if you want to have a different text for Instagram and a different one for Facebook, you can always come and change them right here. I think I’ll add, let’s add those hashtags in Instagram as well. Basically, that’s that, so if you want to change or edit the image here, you can click here. If you want to delete it, click here to delete it.
And then down here, you have three options, you can use the ‘Optimal times’ you can publish, this will put the posts out straight away. And then you can also click here to schedule the post or save it as a draft. Okay.
So, something about Optimal times. Basically, Facebook looks at all the posts that you have been making and then picks out peak times, the times that your followers interact most with your content. And then it suggests them for you here. The same for Instagram.
So if you like you can pick any of them and then save them. But, for the case of this video, we’ll come down to schedule post, and then we choose the time. So, let’s say this goes out tomorrow.
And then if you want to also post on Instagram at a different time, you can do the same. Pick the time, let’s say this is going to be a ‘pm’ and then save.
So, once you have saved and everything looks fine, you can go ahead and then click on ‘Schedule post’.
So, as you can see here, your post has been successfully scheduled for publishing. So, to see the post that you have put up, you come to ‘Posts and Stories’, and then you come down here to Scheduled posts. Yeah. So I have these three posts all scheduled for tomorrow.
So, what we just put is right here. Basically, that’s it. That’s how you schedule your posts using this new interface of Facebook Business.
