This beautifully restored 1951 Desoto Custom is one of only 55 that were produced for export in 1951,
as evidenced by the solid red painted center hub caps. Build on January 15, 1951, this outstanding example has won
multiple awards, including many National Desoto Club Convention car show awards.
Powered by a 250 cid/116hp “L-Head” 6 cylinder engine with a Stromberg carburetor and Tip Toe Shift Fluid Drive (Presto-O-Matic)
this Custom came with lots of options, including, radio, heater, white wall tires, full wheel covers, directional signals, back up lights and a lighted hood ornament.
The hood ornament honors Hernando Desoto. This is a beautiful restoration, guaranteed to turn heads.
