In this video I take my family out to a famous Italian pizza shop in Cotonou. Later we stopped by a local bar near the area where we live.
Cornetto is a popular Italian restaurant in Cotonou for its quality food, pizza and ice cream. But what makes the place more popular is how it welcomes everybody. Here you will find Europeans and pretty much anybody living in Cotonou.
I think what makes their pizza really different is how well they bake it. They make sure the crust and cheese are golden brown which I really like.
What I like most about the restaurants is the fact that most of the prices on their menu have remained the same since 2019 when I first visited. There is a play room upstairs monitored via camera that connects to a television downstairs so parents can relax while keeping an eye on kids
I think Cotonou is a lot nicer at night. I usually go on a 1 hour walk in the city around my area and I feel very safe. Sometimes I'm too busy in the early evenings so I go out walking sometimes at 11pm and I still feel very safe.
