Former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh came out of hiding to join the investigation into the corruption and extortion case lodged against him at the Goregaon police station. Earlier, the Maharashtra Director General of Police (DGP) had sent a proposal to the state government to suspend Param Bir Singh along with other police officers accused in the alleged extortion cases. The Maharashtra government has initiated the process to suspend the accused cops.
