Working on a 1998 Chevy 6.5 detroit diesel with fuel delivery issues. The truck would run for a few minutes then randomly shut off. I go through the process of fixing this truck. It is running good now.
Other than what is shown in the video, I also checked the electric fuel shutoff valve to ensure it was operating. Another big thing to consider is if air bubbles are present in the fuel bowl when jumping the fuel lift pump, the air intrusion will cause the truck to stall and the leak on the suction side must be located.
