DESCRIPTION:
My main inspiration for the overall shape of this remix was the phrase included in the title - Losing My Mind. I aimed to create a track that is a little chaotic, energetic and stimulating.
The track starts with rhythmic patterns of percussive beats alongside with contrapuntal beating of wooden block-a-like tone (personal association). The bass is also present from the begining as a lower tone. After a few bars the upper bass joins with its passage-like feature and also the noise section raise the tension till the vocal's first exposure. At this point one could presumably feel quite calm as everything is well "tidied".
Then comes the part where the whole rhythmic section goes off and the vocal gets echoed and reflected hard. This is where one starts to lose their mind as the music seems a little unclear.
And there comes the drop... One can literally hear "(...) I'm losing my mind" at the same time which intensifies the impression of being madly lost in this phrase. The synths present extraordinary melody that accomapnies the vocals.
The second verse is the same phrase as in the first one, however it's intended to bring back the sanity for a moment - to a little "gap" to be precise.
The drop hits one more time and without lyrics, so the synths can expose their powerful volume. The vocals approach one more time just to be finally mixed with the synths in a climax.
The track ends with an alerting sound that leads out of the craziness to an array of "percussives" and both the bass and the kick are gradually filtered away.
